Mise-En-Scene - Clothing

A key part in the contribution of making our thriller look and feel authentic is through the clothing Erika was wearing. The cheap white dress was doused in food colouring ( As we could  not locate fake blood in time ) and stabbed with a steak knife instead of tearing to add to the realism. The dress was crumpled and water was lightly sprayed on Erikas's hair to make it seem as though she had been dead for a while with a deep dark feel to it. We also insisted that she walked through muddy parts of the woods to add to the precision of her outfit with a dirty, washed out look achieved. Here is an image of the dress Erika was wearing;
