SUSPENSE

Hello group mates! My first blog will be based on suspense, something rather interesting I learnt on tuesdays lesson. Suspense is probably THE most important thing in a recipe for a thriller. All the typical symptoms of suspense are:
Normally there is a victim.
The film begins with a sense of normality and only later the sinister elements enter.
Tense music and background noise plays a big part ie. scream, heartbeat, heavy breathing...
It also helps if you make the audience feel like they know more than the character on screen, Alfred Hitchcock was the 'bomb theory'; false detour - incourages audience into a false sense of security.
